Capitol Speech & Rehabilitation Services, Inc. is a private practice located in Sacramento, California established in 2017. We provide speech and language therapy in both the clinic and in-home settings. We offer a variety of services to both children and adults. Our mission is to provide quality speech and language services encompassing a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan to facilitate our clients’ speech and language skills. We highly encourage our families to participate in treatment planning and therapy.

NON-PUBLIC AGENCY

Capitol Speech & Rehabilitation Services, Inc. provide speech and language services to local schools as a non-public agency. We coordinate with public schools to establish appropriate services and provide services indicated in the Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are certified members of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and accredited by California Department of Education

NICOLE ROSS, MS, CCC-SLP

DIRECTOR AND SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Nicole Ross is the Co-Owner and Director of Capitol Speech & Rehabilitation Services, Inc.She earned both her Undergraduate and Master’s degree from California State University, Sacramento in Sacramento, California.She has been a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist for over 11 years and holds a Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential in Language, Speech and Hearing.She is also certified to administer the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment Program (LSVT) – a speech treatment program specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease to improve vocal loudness.

Nicole has experience in providing individual and group therapy services to both children and adults in settings including hospitals, public schools, skilled nursing rehab facilities, and private practices.For the past 7 years, Nicole has been a Director of Rehab, leading diverse teams of physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists in the care of residents with neurological deficits, orthopedic needs, and respiratory failure to facilitate their recovery and safe return to home, as possible.Nicole serves as a strong liaison between administration, patients, physicians and other healthcare providers. She has an in-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal-related services, and federal, state, and local legal and professional issues.

Nicole has been happily married for over 10 years and has a beautiful 3-year-old daughter.She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, going to concerts, listening to music, drinking coffee, and cheering on her favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

NGA MEAD, MA, CCC-SLP

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR AND SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Nga Mead is the Co-Owner and Assistant Director of Capitol Speech & Rehabilitation Services, Inc.She earned her Undergraduate degree from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, and her Master’s degree from Washington State University in Spokane, Washington.She has been a nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist for over 11 years and holds a Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential in Language, Speech and Hearing.

Nga has experience in providing speech/language services to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, teenagers, adults and geriatrics.She has worked in the public-school setting for 7 years before transitioning to the medical setting (skilled nursing rehab facilities and well-renowned hospital for children), where she provided evaluations and treatment in the areas of voice, cognition, aural rehab, swallowing, and augmentative and alternative communication.

For the past 10 years, Nga has served as a mentor and clinical supervisor for local and out-of-state speech-language pathology student interns and externs, Clinical Fellows and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants.She has a passion and strong commitment for helping students learn and succeed as clinicians and therapists.Nga also has extensive knowledge and experience working with students with Autism, Emotional Disturbances and Developmental Delays.She continues to provide ongoing consultation and collaboration with special education teachers in Mild-Moderate and Moderate-Severe Self-Contained classrooms.

Nga is newly married and lives with her husband in Sacramento.She loves spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, drinking tea, photographing, crafting and gardening.
